Stoats Recipes

Stoats Cranachan

Ingredients:

Stoats Oat blend (45 grams per person)
Water (300ml per person)
Semi-skimmed milk (25ml per person)
Salt
Fresh Scottish Raspberries
Raspberry coulis
Single cream
Toasted oats

1. Prepare sweet toasted oats: Pour thin layer of oats onto baking tray and sprinkle with granulated brown sugar. Then place in middle of pre-heated oven at 150 degrees for around 15 minutes, until they have turned golden brown.

2. Prepare porridge: Add salt to water. Add milk. Sprinkle in oats and heat on low temperature. Bring water to boil, keep stirring, and simmer on low heat for 5 – 10 minutes.

3. Scoop porridge into portions and add cream, fresh raspberries (with juices), raspberry coulis and sprinkling of toasted oats. Stir into porridge. To finish sprinkle two parallel lines of toasted oats over top of porridge and garnish with raspberry in centre of porridge.
